The Holy Spirit gave the prayer directives to Bishop Greg Stevenson after fulfilling a 10-day -70-hour intercessory prayer mandate for the general peace of Jerusalem and to establish the first residence in Rechavia.
From this residence in Jerusalem, Bishop Stevenson also secured a room at The Mount of Olives Hotel, which sits on the highest point of the Mount of Olives, for the prayer mandate.
Bishop Stevenson was picked up by a taxi every morning at 5 a.m. and brought to The Mount of Olives, where he prayed from 6 a.m. until 1 p.m. After the day’s intercession was completed, the same taxi would bring him home to the residence in Rechavia.
The prayer mandates began at sunset on the last day of Hanukkah, 12/19/2009, and continued until 02/07/2010.
Bishop Stevenson had it confirmed to him while still at the residence at the beginning of 2010 that he was to return to the Rehavia residence, where he was to begin another intercessory prayer mandate, which ended up becoming a series of prayer mandates.
The new prayer mandate was to be 5 hours per day for 55 weeks, from May 1, 2010, until the evening of May 21, 2011. This prayer mandate had nothing to do with the coming of the Messiah but was an intercessory prayer mandate for the specific prayer directives listed on the website.
Quite amazingly, the Lord showed him in a dream before the mandate stated that he was climbing a ladder to the top of a loft. When he had almost reached the top, one of the ladder’s rungs broke, but he only received a small scrape on his shin and then took the last step to the top of the loft.
Bishop Stevenson spoke with several people about the dream and that there would be a break or breaks before he made it to the top of the loft, but it was not clear how the break would come about until the legal battle started with the Ministry of Interior.
Nevertheless, he could leave the country briefly while keeping the prayer mandate and then return to Rehavia to complete it. Praise God, and thanks to the many intercessors who stood in the gap for him.
Bishop Stevenson received a word from the Lord concerning a new prayer mandate at the beginning of April 2011. He quickly received two powerful confirmations to help him know that God had established the matter concerning the new prayer mandate.
The new intercessory prayer mandate that Bishop Stevenson has been given will start on 07/01/2011 in Jerusalem and will go through 09/25/2012.
The prayer mandate will entail praying for eight hours each day for one single purpose: praying for the peace of Jerusalem. He is to pray from Sunday evening until the following Sabbath.
There are no regional or international restrictions on his intercessions; however, he is restricted to one purpose for 40 hours each week: praying for the peace of Jerusalem. Nevertheless, Bishop Stevenson asks all who pray to please keep all the prayer directives listed on this website in their prayers and intercessions.
At this time, 2,584 hours of intercessory prayer for the peace of Jerusalem have been completed, bringing this present mandate to its conclusion. “It is finished.” Thanks be to God for all those who held my arms up as I made up the hedge and stood in the gap for the peace of Jerusalem.
The newest intercessory prayer mandate that Bishop Stevenson has been given will start on 10/10/2012 in Jerusalem and end on 09/25/2014. Currently, 4,088 hours of the prayer mandate have been completed.
This newest prayer mandate will entail praying 8 hours a day from Sunday evening until the evening of Shabbat.
From Shabbat until Saturday evening shall be observed as a time of rest, personal prayer, devotional reading of God’s Word, a meditation on the scriptures, a reflection of the past week of prayer, and enjoying worshiping the Lord in holy music and praise.
Saturday evening until Sunday evening, when prayer begins, will be a time for ministry, Church, personal prayer, a study of the Word, writing, working on the Jerusalem website, and general ministry.
The focus of intercession on this newest prayer mandate will be multiple, but given to me in this order,
1. Praying for the Land of Israel.
2. Praying for the outpouring of the Spirit of grace and supplication upon the House of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
3. Praying for the peace of Jerusalem.
4. I am praying for the Jewish community in France, which is struggling to make the decision about making Aliyah to Israel.
This is the exact order I was given, which seemed to emphasize the Land of Israel. Blessings to all those who pray for Israel, the House of David, those who dwell in Jerusalem, and those who pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
All the prayer directives will be prayed for in this latest intercessory prayer mandate. Still, there is a special emphasis on establishing a portal in the city of Nice, France, so that God may send ministering angels to draw His people back to the Land of Israel for these last days.
