Within the ten chapters that I present to you on this page, there is not, nor will there ever be, a nation other than the United States of America that could fulfill the many prophecies listed in these ten chapters before the return of Israel’s long-awaited Messiah.
Only one possibility could cause a person not to understand that these scriptures precisely describe the United States of America. It is possible that the god of this world has supernaturally blinded their common sense.
Of course, we do not expect unbelievers to believe the Word of God without the involvement of the Holy Spirit. Nevertheless, this is not just about spiritual issues but raw data that logical people, even in an unregenerate state, should be able to agree with.
Worldwide, enough technology is available to the masses to check the facts with a quick Google search. The United States is a young nation compared to many that have existed for thousands of years. Nevertheless, it has become the most powerful nation on earth—the only superpower.
It is the richest nation in the world.
It is a nation that has the largest economy in the world.
It has the largest stock exchange in the world. NYSE
It also has the 2nd largest stock exchange in the world. NASDAQ
It has the most powerful army in the world.
It is the leading industrial nation.
It has the world’s biggest legal and political system.
It is a nation of many religions.
It is a nation with the most advanced technologies.
It is a nation that enjoys the highest standard of living.
It is a nation that was founded with a Declaration of Independence.
It is a nation that has a Bill of Rights.
It is a nation that was founded on Judeo-Christian principles and ethics.
It is a nation of immigrants from all over the world.
It is a nation that once held higher education and learning.
It is a nation of inventors with thousands of patents.
It leads the world in space exploration and scientific discovery.
It is the world’s top manufacturing nation.
It is the leading nation in agriculture.
It is a nation of many lakes and rivers.
It is the leading nation in lumber production.
It has by far the most horses in the world.
It is the leading exporting nation.
It is the leading importing nation.
It is a nation that has been a stay for Israel.
It is a nation that has done the most for the poor.
It is a nation where the world’s countries assemble, the United Nations.
It is the leading nation of film stars, sports figures, and celebrities.
It is a nation whose citizens revel in sports and entertainment.
It is a nation that believes in free speech, even vulgarity.
It is the leading producer of pornography.
It is a nation with an increasing appetite for the occult.
It is the nation that is leading the music industry.
It is a nation that has legalized abortion.
It is a nation that lives without the fear of God.
It is a nation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit….
It is a nation enslaved with same-sex marriage since 2015.
It is a nation that has supported terrorism by unfreezing assets to Iran.
It is a nation that allowed governmental corruption to exist.
It is a nation that has forsaken common sense for a progressive agenda.
It is a nation that has committed fornication with the kings of the earth.
It is a nation that will be led into desolation.
Isaiah 13:1-22
1.”The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah, the son of Amoz, did see.
2. Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.
3. I have commanded my sanctified ones and called my mighty ones for mine anger, even those that rejoice in my highness.
4. The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the Lord of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.
5. They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the Lord, and the weapons of His indignation, to destroy the whole land.
6. Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.
7. Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt:
8. And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.
9. Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and He shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
10. For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in His going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
11. And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked of their iniquity, and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
12. I will make a man more precious than fine gold, even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.
13. Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and the day of fierce anger.
14. And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee everyone into his own land.
15. Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword.
16. Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.
17. Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver, and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.
18. Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces, and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children.
19. And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chal-‘dees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Go-mor’-rah.
20. It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.
21. But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.
22. And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.”
Isaiah 14:1-32
1. “For the Lord will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.
2. And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the Lord for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.
3. And it shall come to pass in the day that the Lord shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,
4. That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon and say, How hath the oppressor ceased the golden city ceased!
5. The Lord hath broken the staff of the wicked and the scepter of the rulers.
6. He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, who ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.
7. The whole earth is at rest and is quiet: they break forth into singing.
8. Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Leb’-a-non, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.
9. Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.
10. All they shall speak and say unto thee, art thou also become weak as we? Are thou become like unto us?
11. Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.
12. How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13. For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14. I will ascend above the highest of the colds and be like the most High.
15. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
16. They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
17. That made the world a wilderness and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
18. All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, everyone in his own house.
19. But thou are cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that goes down to the stones of the pit; as a carcass trodden under feet.
20. Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial. because thou hast destroyed thy land and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.
21. Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.
22. For I will rise against them, saith the Lord of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, remnant, son, and nephew, saith the Lord.
23. I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the Lord of hosts.
24. The Lord of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:
25. That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden departs from off their shoulders.
26. This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: the hand stretched out upon all the nations.
27. For the Lord of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and His hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
28. In the year that King Ahaz died was this burden.
29. Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent’s root shall be a fiery flying serpent.
30. And the first-born of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant.
31. Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times.
32. What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the Lord hath founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it”.
Isaiah 18:1-7
1.”Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia.
2. That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!
3. All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.
4. For so the Lord said unto me, I will take my rest and consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.
5. For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks and remove and cut down the branches.
6. They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.
7. In that time shall the present be brought unto the Lord of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, and whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the Lord of hosts, the mount Zion”.
Isaiah 47:1-15
1. “Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chal-de’-ans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.
2. Take the millstones and grind the meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, and pass over the rivers.
3. Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance and not meet thee as a man.
4. As for our Redeemer, the Lord of hosts is His name, the Holy One of Israel.
5. Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chal-deans: for thou shaky no more be called, Thy lady of kingdoms.
6. I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst show them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.
7. And thou saidst, I shall be a lady forever: so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it.
8. Therefore hear now this, thou that are given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:
9. But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries and for the great abundance of thine enchantments.
10. For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else besides me.
11. Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know.
12. Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast labored from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit if so be thou mayest prevail.
13. Thou are wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.
14. Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.
15. Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast labored, even thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee”.
Jeremiah 50:1-46
1.”The word that the Lord spake against Babylon and the land of the Chal-de’-ans by Jeremiah the prophet.
2. Declare ye among the nations, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded, Mer’-o-dach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces.
3. For out of the north there cometh up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein: they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast.
4. In those days, and in that time, saith the Lord, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the Lord their God.
5. They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the Lord in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten.
6. My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their resting place.
7. All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the Lord, the habitation of justice even the Lord, the hope of their fathers.
8. Remove out of the modest of Babylon, and go out of the midst of Babylon, and go out of the land the Chal-de’-ans, and be as he goats before the flocks.
9. For lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her: from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall turn in vain.
10. And Chal-de’-a shall be a spoil: all that spoil her shall be satisfied, saith the Lord.
11. Because ye were glad, because ye rejoiced, O ye destroyers of mine heritage, because ye are grown fat as the heifer at grass, and bellow as bulls;
12. Your mother shall be sore confounded; she that bare you shall be ashamed: behold, the hindermost of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.
13. Because of the wrath of the Lord, it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goeth by Babylon shall be astonished and hiss at all her plagues.
14. Put yourselves in array against Babylon round about all ye that bend the bow, shoot at her spare no arrows: for she hath sinned against the Lord.
15. Shout against her roundabout: she hath given her hand: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the Lord: take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her.
16. Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him that handleth the sickle in the time of harvest: for fear of the oppressing sword they shall turn everyone to his people, and they shall flee everyone to his own land.
17. Israel is scattered sheep; the lions have driven him away: first, the king of Assyria hath devoured him, and last this Nebu-chad-rez’-zar king of Babylon hath broken his bones.
18. Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria.
19. And I will bring Israel again to his habitation, and he shall feed on Carmel and Ba’-shan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon Mount E’-phra-im and Gil’-e-ad.
20. In those days, and in that time, saith the Lord, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve.
21. Go up against the land of Mer-a-tha’-im, even against it, and against the inhabitants of Pe’-kod: waste and utterly destroy after them, wait for the Lord, and do according to all that I have commanded thee.
22. A sound of battle and great destruction are in the land.
23. How is the hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and broken? how is Babylon becoming a desolation among the nations?
24. I have laid a snare for thee, and thou are also taken O Babylon, and thou wast not aware: thou are found and caught because thou hast striven against the Lord.
25. The Lord hath opened his armory and brought forth the weapons of his indignation: for this is the work of the Lord God of hosts in the land of the Chal-deans.
26. Come against her from the utmost border, open her storehouses: cast her up as heaps, and destroy her utterly: let nothing of her be left.
27. Slay all her bullocks; let them go down to the slaughter: woe unto them! for their day is come, the time of their visitation.
28. The voice of them that flee and escape from the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of the Lord our God, the vengeance of His temple.
29. Call together the archers against Babylon: all ye that bend the bow, camp against it round about; let none thereof escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do unto her: for she hath been proud against the Lord, against the Holy One of Israel.
30. Therefore shall her young men fall in the streets, and all her men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the Lord.
31. Behold, I am against thee, O thou most proud, saith the Lord God of hosts: for thy day is come, the time that I will visit thee.
32. And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: and I will visit thee. And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all round about him.
33. Thus saith the Lord of hosts: The children of Israel and the children of Judah were oppressed together: and all that took them captive held them fast; they refused to let them go.
34. Their Redeemer is strong; the Lord of hosts is His name: He shall thoroughly plead their cause, that He may give rest to the land and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.
35. A sword is upon the Chaldeans, saith the Lord, the inhabitants of Babylon, her princes, and her wise men.
36. A sword is upon the liars; and they shall dot: a sword is upon her mighty men, and they shall be dismayed.
37. A sword is upon their horses, and their chariots, and all the mingled people in the midst of her; and they shall become as women: a sword is upon her treasures, and they shall be robbed.
38. A drought is upon her waters, and they shall be dried up: for it is the land of graven images, and they are mad upon their idols.
39. Therefore, the wild beasts of the desert with the wild beasts of the islands shall dwell there, and the owls shall dwell therein: and it shall be no more inhabited forever; neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation.
40. As God overthrew Sodom and Go-more-rah and the neighbor cities thereof, saith the Lord; so shall no man dwell therein.
41. Behold, a people shall come from the north, and a great nation and many kings shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.
42. They shall hold the bow and the lance: they are cruel, and will not show mercy: their voice shall roar like the sea, and they shall ride upon horses, everyone put in array, like a man to the battle, against thee, O daughter of Babylon.
43. The king of Babylon heard their report, and his hands waxed feeble: anguish took hold of them and pangs like a woman in travail.
44. Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan unto the habitation of the strong: but I will make them suddenly run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? And who is that shepherd who will stand before me?
45. Therefore hear ye the counsel of the Lord, that he hath taken against Babylon; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the land of the Chal-de’-ans: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitation desolate with them.
46. At the noise of the taking of Babylon, the earth is moved, and the cry is heard among the nations.”
Jeremiah 51:1-64
1. “Thus saith the Lord; Behold I will raise up against Babylon, and them that dwell in the midst of them that rise up against me, a destroying wind;
2. And will send unto Babylon tanners that shall fan her and empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about.
3. Against him that bendeth let the archer bend his brigandine: and spare ye not her young men; destroy ye utterly all her host.
4. Thus, the slain shall fall in the land of the Chal-de’-ans, and they are thrust through her streets.
5. Israel hath not been forsaken, nor Judah of his God, of the Lord of hosts; though their land was filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel.
6. Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the Lord’s vengeance; He will render unto her a recompense.
7. Babylon hath been a golden cup in the Lord’s hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore, the nations are mad.
8. Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so she may be healed.
9. We would have healed. Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go everyone into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.
10. The Lord hath brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the Lord our God.
11. Make bright the arrows; gather the shields: the Lord hath raised up the spirit of the kings of Medes: for his device is against Babylon, to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of the Lord, the vengeance of His temple.
12. Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the Lord hath both devised and done that which he spake against the inhabitants of Babylon.
13. O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of thy covetousness.
14. The Lord of hosts hath sworn by Himself, saying, Surely I will fill thee with men, as with caterpillars; and they shall lift up a shout against thee.
15. He hath made the earth by His power, established the world by His wisdom, and stretched out the heaven by His understanding.
16. When He uttereth His voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and He causeth the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth: He maketh lightning with rain and bringeth forth the wind out of His treasures.
17. Every man is brutish by his knowledge; the graven image confounds every founder, for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.
18. They are vanity, the work of errors: in the time of their visitation, they shall perish.
19. The portion of Jacob is not like them; for he is the former of all things: and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: the Lord of hosts is His name.
20. Thou art my battle ax and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;
21. And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee also will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider;
22. With thee also will I break in pieces man and woman; and with thee will I break in pieces old and young; and with thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maid;
23. I will also break in pieces with thee the shepherd and his flock; and with thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and with thee will I break in pieces captains and rulers.
24. And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chal-de’-a all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith the Lord.
25. Behold I am against thee, O destroying mountain, saith the Lord, which destroyeth all the earth: and I will stretch out my hand upon thee, roll thee down from the rocks, and make thee a burnt mountain.
26. And they shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; but thou shalt be desolate forever, saith the Lord.
27. Set ye up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ar’-a-rat, Min’-ni, and Ash’-che-naz; appoint a captain against her; cause the horses to come up as the rough caterpillars.
28. Prepare against her the nations with the kings of the Medes, the captains, all the rulers, and all the land of his dominion.
29. And the land shall tremble and sorrow: for every purpose of the Lord shall be performed against Babylon, to make the land of Babylon a desolation without an inhabitant.
30. The mighty me of Babylon have forborne to fight; they have remained in their holds: their might hath failed; they became as women: they have burned her dwelling places; her bars are broken.
31. One post shall run to meet another, and one messenger shall meet another to show the king of Babylon that his city is taken at one end.
32. And the passages are stopped, the reeds they have burned with fire, and the men of war are affrighted.
33. Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; The daughter of Babylon is like a threshing floor, it is time to thresh her: yet a little while and the time of her harvest shall come.
34. Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon hath devoured me, he hath crushed me, he hath crushed me, he hath made me an empty vessel, he hath swallowed me up like a dragon, he hath filled his belly with my delicates, he hath cast me out.
35. The violence done to me and to my flesh be upon Babylon, shall the inhabitants say, and my blood upon the inhabitants of Chaldea and Jerusalem say.
36. Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will plead thy cause, and take vengeance for thee; and I will dry up her sea, and make her springs dry.
37. And Babylon shall become heaps, a dwelling place for dragons, an astonishment, and a hissing, without an inhabitant.
38. They shall roar together like lions and yell as lion’s whelps.
39. In their heat I will make their feasts, and I will make them drunken, that they may rejoice, and sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the Lord.
40. I will bring them down like lambs to the slaughter, like rams with goats.
41 How is Sheshah taken? And how is the praise of all the earth surprised! How has Babylon become an astonishment among the nations?
42. The sea is come up upon Babylon: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof.
43. Her cities are a desolation, a dry land, and a wilderness, a land wherein no man dwelleth, neither doth any son of man pass thereby.
44. And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he hath swallowed up: and the nations shall not flow together anymore unto him: yea, the wall of Babylon shall fall.
45. My people, go ye out of the midst of her and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of the Lord.
46. And lest your heart faint, and ye fear for the rumor that shall be heard in the land; a rumor shall both come in one year, and after that in another year shall a rumor, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.
47. Therefore, behold, the days come, that I will do judgment upon the graven images of Babylon: her whole land shall be confounded, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.
48. Then the heaven and the earth, and all that is therein, shall sing for Babylon: for the spoilers shall come unto her from the north, saith the Lord.
49. As Babylon hath caused the slain of Israel to fall, so at Babylon shall fall the slain of all the earth.
50. Ye that has escaped the sword, go away, stand not still: remember the Lord afar off and let Jerusalem come into your mind.
51. We are confounded because we have heard reproach: shame hath covered our faces: for strangers are come into the sanctuaries of the Lord’s house.
52. Wherefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will do judgment upon her graven images: and through all her land the wounded groan.
53. Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from Me shall spoilers come unto her, saith the Lord.
54. A sound of cry cometh from Babylon, and great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans:
55. Because the Lord hath spoiled Babylon, and destroyed out of her the great voice; when her waves do roar like great waters, a noise of their voice is uttered:
56. Because the spoiler has come upon her, even upon Babylon, and her mighty men are taken, their bows are broken: for the Lord God of recompenses shall surely requite.
57. And I will make drunk her princes, her wise men, her captains, her rulers, and her mighty men: and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the King, whose name is the Lord of hosts.
58. Thus saith the Lord of hosts: The broad walls of Babylon shall utterly be broken, and her high gates shall be burned with fire, and the people shall labor in vain, and the folk in the fire, and they shall be weary.
59. The word that Jeremiah, the prophet, commanded Seraiah, the son of Neriah and Maaseiah, when he went to Zedekiah, the king of Judah, into Babylon in the fourth year of his reign. And this Seraiah was a quiet prince.
60. So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come upon Babylon, even all these words that are written against Babylon.
61. And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When thou comest to Babylon, and shalt see, and shall read all these words;
62. Then shalt thou say, O Lord, thou hast spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate forever.
63. And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of the Euphrates:
64. And thou shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.”
Habakkuk 1:1-2:20
1.”The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see.
2. O Lord, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! Even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!
3. Why do you show me iniquity and cause me to loess grievances? For spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
4. Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.
5. Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days which ye will not believe, though it is told you.
6. For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breath of the land, to possess the dwelling places that are not theirs.
7. They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and dignity shall proceed of themselves.
8. Their horse are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horseman shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far, they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat.
9. They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.
10. And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every stronghold; for they shall heap dust, and take it.
11. Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god.
12. Art thou from everlasting, O Lord my God, mine Holy One? We shall not die. O Lord, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction.
13. Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil. And not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?
14. And makest men as the fish of the sea? As the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?
15. They take up all of them with the angle, catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag; therefore, they rejoice and are glad.
16. Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous.
17. Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare continually to slay the nations?
1.I will stand upon my watch, set me upon the tower, and watch to see what He will say unto me and what I shall answer when I am reproved.
2. And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
3. The vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it: because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
4. Behold, his lifted soul is not upright in him, but he shall live by faith.
5. Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people:
6. Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! How long? And to him that ladeth himself with thick clay!
7. Shall not they rise up suddenly that shall bite thee, and awake that shall vex thee, and thou shall be for booties unto them?
8. Because thou hast spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil thee; because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, the city, and all that dwell therein.
9. Woe unto him that covereth evil covetousness in his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil!
10. Thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off my people and sinned against thy soul.
11. The stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.
12. Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood and establisheth a city by iniquity!
13. Behold, is not it of the Lord of the host that the people shall labor in the very fir, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity?
14. For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
15. Woe unto him that giveth his neighbor drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and maketh him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!
16. Thou art filled with shame for glory: drink thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the Lord’s right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing shall be on thy glory.
17. For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of beasts, which made them afraid, because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, the city, and all that dwell therein.
18. What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; it shall teach! The molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?
19. Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.
20. But the Lord is in His holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.”
Revelation 17:1-17
1. “And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2. With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3. So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5. And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth.
6. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
7. And the angel said unto me, Wherefore durst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
8. The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and yet is.
9. And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are the seven mountains on which the woman sitteth.
10. And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
11. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
12. And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdoms as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
13. These have one mind and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
14. These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is the Lord of lords and the King of kings: and they that are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.
15. And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
16. And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
17. For God hath put in their hearts to fulfill His will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
Revelation 18:1-24
- After these things, I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power, and the earth was lightened with glory.
2. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
3. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
4. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
5. For her sins have reached heaven, God hath remembered her iniquities.
6. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her according to her works: in the cup she has filled fill to her double.
7. How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
8. Therefore, her plagues come in one day, death, mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
9. And the kings of the earth who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
10. Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour is thy judgment come.
11. And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; no man buyeth her merchandise any more.
12. The merchandise of gold and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,
13. And cinnamon, and odors, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.
14. And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shall find them no more at all.
15. The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
16. And saying, Alas, that great city that was clothed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, precious stones, and pearls!
17. For in one hour, so great riches come to naught. And every shipmaster, all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many travel by sea, stood afar off.
18. And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!
19. And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea because of her costliness! For in one hour is made desolate.
20. Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
21. And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
22. And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever, craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;
23. And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
24. And in her was found the blood of prophets, the saints, and all that were slain upon the earth.”
Many shall be purified and made white and tried, but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand. Daniel 12:10
