Portal over Jerusalem

The Clal Center Complex 97 Jaffa Road  Jerusalem, Israel

On July 1, 2011, I moved into the Windows Condominiums at 97 Jaffa Road. This large building is known for its oversized windows and its unique architectural design. This is where all the heavy lifting was going to begin. I had completed the first two intercessory prayer mandates, totaling 2170 hours, at a beautiful residence in the upscale Rehavia neighborhood of Jerusalem.

The picture above was taken from my apartment on the 7th floor. This picture isn’t scenic enough to grab anyone’s attention. Still, for me, it was a beautiful confirmation that I was in the right place at the right time.

As you can see, there is a large X on the roofs of many of the shops below. The Lord has used the X for many conformations over more than 4 decades. The X is more than just a letter you sign your name with; it is the last letter of the Hebrew Alphabet, but not in this modern age. It can be traced back to 2500 years ago. The letter X or Tav means Covenant, Mark, Signal, or Sign.

As an intercessor, if I were going to enter into the presence of God, I was going to have to set boundaries so as not to infringe on my dedicated time of prayer. For the next three years, I was committed to completing the next two prayer mandates. The third mandate was 2584 hours, and the fourth was 4088 hours.

Forty hours of prayer, Monday through Friday, is not so hard for an intercessor who has been given a confirmed mission. I have completed many mandates in Jerusalem over the years, and I have found that the best time to pray without distraction is when everyone else is sleeping.

Whenever I have been given a mandate in Jerusalem, I am always given a start and finish date, but not necessarily what will be accomplished beyond praying for the peace of Jerusalem. Nevertheless, after 10 weeks or 400 hours of intercessory prayer, the Lord told me that a portal had now been established right over the rooftop with the X.

To this very day, in 2025, whether I am in Jerusalem, in France, or America, it is in my daily supplication that the Lord would enlarge the circumference of this portal. Most Christians are clueless about this area of ministry. I am only one intercessor out of tens of thousands of intercessors around the world that are standing in the gap as watchmen on the wall.

The concept of portals, windows, or gates as spiritual access points is rooted in both biblical imagery and contemporary intercessory practice. There are gateways where heaven touches earth, and these are activated through worship, prayer, and prophetic alignment.

In Genesis 28:10-12, “And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran. And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.”

Malachi 3:10 “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, If I will not open the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”

In Daniel 10, we learn that there is warfare in the second heaven, where the Prince of Persia delayed an angelic messenger until Michael intervened.

There are spiritual gateways where heaven touches earth, and these can be activated through worship, prayer, and prophetic alignment.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12
